Grounded in the principle of solidarity, LaUnidad11 is composed of immigrant families and community members united in a national network that is prepared to defend the civil and human rights to win equity and justice for all. The Protection Network’s mission and focus is the development of a mutual aid, solidarity organizing model where families and communities are individually and collectively prepared in the event of an arrest, detention or deportation. It seeks to lower the levels of stress, fear, anxiety and uncertainty when there’s a police stop, arrest, raid, detention or deportation by uniting the community to create a family and community plan and organizing immigrant communities to address enforcement and make positive changes in their city at a broader level.
